The method involves suppressing a part of X-rays delivered from an X-ray source (10) by a screen (214) so that the X-rays strike two sub areas of a surface element. The screen and the X-ray source are successively moved into different positions or the X-ray source is activated. The positions are so selected that the sub areas, hit by the X-rays, complement each other to a closed area. An independent claim is included for a radiograph receiving system with a control unit.
