The method involves manufacturing a container i.e. plastic bottle (1), via a thermal molding process. The container is transported to a filling machine (3), and cooled during the transportation by application of atomized spray. The container is filled with a product medium in a filling machine, where the atomized spray contains air and a fine sprayed droplet of water. The water existing in the spray is utilized for evaporative cooling of the container. The spray is applied dependending upon a fluid quantity that remains on the container after evaporative cooling of the container. An independent claim is also included for a device for combined manufacturing and filling of a plastic container.
