The furniture (1) has five drive devices (7) for adjusting a base region (2), a back region (3), upper and lower leg regions (4, 5) and a head region (6) of the furniture with respect to its position. The drive devices are provided for lifting/lowering of the head- and base regions for changing setting angle of the back region and upper and lower leg regions. The regions are connected with one another over a bus system (14) and communicate with a central controller (15). The controller is formed such that it controls the individual drive devices in a collision-free manner.
