A non return valve, especially for miniature valve systems, has a ball valve element (5) pressed onto a valve seat (4) by a spring (6) secured to the valve housing (2) and with a sprung strip between the outer edge and a central point pressing onto the top of the ball. The strip reduces in width towards the central point and has a spiral shape. One edge of the strip has a protuberance which limits the open movement of the ball element.
