The heat exchanger has a design of a flow cross section in a colder channel-area. A heat transfer-surface of a solid matter block (1) is larger in a hotter channel-area than in the colder channel-area. The heat transfer-surface is in contact with the fluid and a different flow resistance through a section of the solid matter block, which is in contact with the fluid.
