The open deposit simulator has a tilted collecting surface (4), where the direct proximity exhibits (2) are arranged on or in the collecting surface. A nozzle (8) is attached on an upper end of a pipe (6). A nozzle outlet surface (81) is provided to a pipe cross section. The appearance of the synthetic deposition is determined between a deposit medium (5) and carried ambient air at an outlet of the nozzle.
