The drive has a torque motor provided with a circular stator (3) and a cylindrical inner rotor that carries permanent magnets (5) on a lateral surface that is opposite to the stator. The permanent magnets are arranged on a rotor section (7) of a web-guiding cylinder (1) e.g. impression cylinder, in a covering manner, where the rotor section is formed integrally with a web contact section. The rotor section possesses a smaller diameter than the web contact section. A bearing for the cylinder is arranged in a carriage plate, where the cylinder is made of ferrous-magnetic steel.
