Method comprises: (a) providing a carrier containing naturally layered silicate; (b) impregnating the carrier with a solution, in which a palladium (Pd)-containing compound is dissolved; (c) impregnating the carrier with a solution in which gold (Au)-containing compound is dissolved; (d) precipitating the Pd-component of the Pd compound; (e) precipitating the Au-component of the Au compound; (f) drying the carrier; (g) impregnating the dried carrier with a second solution in which Au-containing compound is dissolved; and (h) precipitating the Au-component of the Au-compound. Method comprises: (a) providing a carrier, which contains a naturally layered silicate; (b) impregnating the carrier with a solution, in which at least a palladium (Pd)-containing compound is dissolved; (c) impregnating the carrier with a solution in which at least gold (Au)-containing compound is dissolved; (d) precipitating the Pd-component of the Pd compound, which is impregnated with the carrier; (e) precipitating the Au-component of the Au compound, which is impregnated with the carrier; (f) drying the carrier, on which the Pd- and Au-component are precipitated; (g) impregnating the dried carrier with a second solution, in which at least a Au-containing compound is dissolved; and (h) precipitating the Au-component of the Au-compound, with which the carrier is impregnated by the second solution.
