Exhaust gas flow condition adjusting method for e.g. diesel engine of motor vehicle for desulfurization of catalysts, involves increasing or adjusting pressure gradient from diverging area to junction area
The method involves diverging a secondary air mass flow (55) at a diverging area (51) of a fresh air line (45) downstream to a compressed air source in a burner (57) to supply the burner with combustion air. A pressure gradient is increased or adjusted from the diverging area to a junction area by throttling an air mass flow by a throttle, where the throttle is connected downstream to the source and the former area. A partial flow of an exhaust gas flow (3) in the burner is supplied by diverging the partial flow from a turbine (15) of a turbocharger (19) in an exhaust gas auxiliary power line. An independent claim is also included for a device for adjusting a condition of an exhaust gas flow guided in a power train of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.
