The device has a foil (1) provided with a pair of two parallel running perpendicular slots (4a, 4b) of same length. The foil is provided in such a manner that an area between the slots is used as a supporting area of an article (5) e.g. letter, where the supporting area is longer than the distance between the slots. The foil is smaller than another foil (2), where the foils are made of paper, plastic, cloth or leather. The slots are different from each other by different slot lengths and/or different distances between the slots pairs during an arrangement of the slots.
