The sensor has an array of two coaxial single sensors (2). Each single probe has an inner conductor (3), an outer conductor (4), and a dielectric (5) arranged between inner and outer conductors. An isolation layer (6) surrounds the outer conductor if necessary. The inner and outer conductors are made of stainless steel, particularly V2A steel alloy. The dielectric is made of thermoplastic, particularly polyhalogen olefin or Teflon(RTM: fluoropolymers). Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for measuring dielectric characteristics of a material; (2) a method for in-vitro or in-vivo determination of dielectric characteristics of a material, particularly of a biological material, by using a dielectric characteristics measuring device; and (3) a computer program for the execution and for controlling a dielectric characteristics measuring method.
