The device (1) has a pipeline (3) for diverting exhaust gas above a furnace at which a chimney flue (2a) is attached, and a component (10) e.g. charcoal filter, for reducing emissions. An exhaust gas pipeline (7) i.e. plastic- or stainless steel pipe, for condensing technology ends in a free space. The component has a heat exchanger, and a soot filter is arranged in front of the heat exchanger. The component has a wet electrical filter for separating particulate matter particles from the exhaust gas. The exhaust gas pipeline is arranged behind the component for the condensing technology.
