The device has a liquid organic hydrogen carrier-storage tank (3) for a carrier medium e.g. liquid organic hydrogen carrier, and a carrier medium-storage tank (10) for a dehydrated carrier medium. The tanks are connected through a liquid organic hydrogen carrier-supply line (4) and a pipe line (9), and a pressure and temperature-resistant reactor vessel (5) is connected with a combustion chamber of a consumer over a connection line. The vessel executes heat exchanger and separator functions for supplying hydrogen for the consumer through dehydration of the hydrogen carrier.
