The pump (1) is arranged below a rigid cartridge (11), where an air intake (4) is provided at the pump for pressure compensation in the cartridge and is connected with a standpipe (6). The air intake is arranged in the cartridge above a liquid level (8), and an upper end of the standpipe is connected with a ventilation valve (3). The upper end of the standpipe and the valve are arranged outside of a liquid (7) e.g. soap. A microfilter is arranged in a region of the air intake, and cleans the air that enters into the cartridge, where the air rises as bubbles upwardly from the liquid level.
