The tampon (5) has an ellipsoidal curved wire spring (1) made of spring steel and for protection in menstruation by sealing ellipsoidal vagina in an edge region with a pad (2) based on the spring force. The wire spring is enclosed with the pad that is made of same material of the tampon, and bent wire ends are provided under the wire spring. A line (6) is provided at the bent wire ends so that the wire spring is removed during removal of the tampon.
