The device has a tank i.e. rain water cistern (1) collecting a rain water, and a pump i.e. submerged pump (4), discharging of rain water from the tank. A refeeding device refeeds of the drinking water into the tank during a low water level in the tank. The refeeding device comprises a drinking water pipeline that is connected with a drinking water network. A refeeding valve (9) i.e. servo valve, is actuated independent of the water level and a free outlet (10), where the free outlet and the refeeding valve are arranged outside of the tank and outside of a building.
