The method involves arranging a worm in a plasticizing and/or injection unit for supplying a molding material to a melt cushion space using a rotational drive. An in-mold assembly is connected with the plasticizing and/or injection unit. A heat-closure device is closed. An injection drive is activated till injection deviation of the worm is interrupted after closing a non-return valve by pressure generation in the melt cushion space. The heat-closure device is opened, and the injection drive is activated till the worm runs in a corrected injection deviation path.
