The arrangement has a flat gasket (9) comprising a retaining part (25) elevated from its level. A retaining surface (31) of the retaining part is formed such that the retaining surface moves into a retaining position in course of a relative motion between a connection flange (3) and the flat gasket for securing at the connection flange. The flat gasket comprises a central part containing an opening for passage of flowable medium i.e. exhaust gas. Two wing parts are provided on side edges of the central part.
