The sensor has a digital signal processor (DSP) (2) that turns on an infrared lamp of an infrared lamp and filter assembly (6) and switches a charge-coupled device (1) to a black-and-white operation mode when surrounding light of a field of view is below a predetermined illumination. A pre-alarm/fire alarm/failure relay output, a RS232or RS485serial communication interface, a compound video output interface and a transmission control protocol/internet protocol (TCP/IP) Ethernetoutput interface are provided. An independent claim is also included for an intelligent image smoke/flame detection system.
