The adjuster (1) has working chambers (9) formed between a stator chamber (5) and a rotatably supported rotor (6), and two hydraulic regulating channels (15, 16) flowing into a recess (14) of the stator chamber for hydraulic operation of an adjustable locking unit (11). One of the regulating channels is fluidically connectable with one of the working chambers adjacent to a rotor vane (7) with the locking unit. The other regulating channel is fluidically connectable with the other chamber adjacent to the vane with the locking unit. The regulating channels have same cross-section flow.
