The system has a control device (115) associated with an electric motor (105) and switched to a master mode for controlling or monitoring a set of control devices (119, 121) associated with respective electric motors (109, 111). Another control device (117) is associated with another electric motor (107) and switched to a slave mode in which the latter device is controlled or monitored by the former device. The latter device is switched from the slave mode to the master mode for controlling or monitoring the set of devices, during existence of an error in the former device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for controlling a drive source of a hybrid drive (2) a computer program comprising a program code for executing a method for controlling a drive source of a hybrid drive.
