The arrangement has a layer (8) that is arranged in sections on a reflector (6) of a headlight (2). A value of physical characteristic of the layer is affected by an electromagnetic parameter, and an optical characteristic the layer is adjusted by the value of the physical characteristic. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for operating a headlight; (2) a computer program with a program code; and (3) a computer program product with program code stored on a computer-readable data unit for the execution of the headlight operating method.
