The device has an anilox roller (2), and a chamber doctor blade (1) provided adjacent to the anilox roller in printing operation and comprising an ink chamber (13) and a squeegee blade formed as a closing doctor blade. The chamber doctor blade contains another squeegee blade designed as a working doctor blade. The closing doctor blade or the working doctor blade is provided with a wear-restraining coating on a side facing the ink chamber. The wear restraining coating is made of ceramic material, alumina, zirconium dioxide and titanium dioxide.
