The drive has drive gears (ARZ) driving a printing cylinder (1), a transfer drum (2), a rubber cylinder (3) and a coating unit (5). A main drive motor (M) is a brushless direct current low-speed motor designed as a high-torque motor. Individual drives (EA) are associated to plate cylinders (4) in printing/coating units (W1-W5). The plate cylinders stay in torque-transfer contact with the printing and rubber cylinders, the drum and the coating unit. The drive motor is associated to the gears directly or via a single-stage auxiliary shaft gear i.e. spur gear, with high rigidity.
