The aid (1) has electronic signal processing components e.g. telecoil (14), arranged in a housing (2), where the processing components have a receiver (3) and a microphone (4). Highly conductive screen foils (7, 13) damp electromagnetic electric field, and a decoupling element damps mechanical oscillations. The screen foils and the decoupling element are integrated in a combined damping element, where the decoupling element has adhesive layers (10, 11). The screen foils have high thickness than aluminum, where the foils are supported by plastic support foils (8, 12). An independent claim is also included for a method for dimensioning elements of combined damping elements for simultaneously damping electromagnetic electric field and mechanical vibration.
