The irrigation system (1) has a storage vessel (2) for the absorption of liquid (10) serving for irrigation, and a piston (3), which is partly projected in the storage vessel and exercises a pressure on the liquid. An irrigation opening (8) is provided in the storage vessel to flow off the liquid from the storage vessel. A flexible diaphragm (4) is provided, which is fastened to the storage vessel and surrounds the piston. An independent claim is included for a control device with a valve element.
