An electric heater for the inside (10) of a vehicle (12) which is fitted in an interior part (14) with at least one textile layer (20), contains at least one electrically-conductive thread (22) which is integrated into the textile layer(s) (20). An independent claim is included for a method for heating the inside of a vehicle by supplying electrical energy to the integrated conductive thread (22) in a heater as described above.
