The sliding base has movable sliding elements comprising a set of L-shaped steel sections (1) that are connected with each other. The sliding elements are fitted on a common plastic carrier (3) and are guided in a horizontal direction by the plastic carrier. The plastic carrier is attached in the base at a specific height, such that vertical bars of the sliding elements fitted on the plastic carrier have a distance of 25 to 150 mm to the base.
