The method involves performing data transmission from a central management server (ZMS) to a destination node for management action during serially running communication operations. Data for execution of the action is transmitted from a transmitting node to an intermediate node (IN) or the destination node. The intermediate node lies between the transmitting and destination nodes in a network topology of a logistic network. A set of data is transmitted to the intermediate node, and retransmitted to other intermediate nodes or the destination node using the intermediate node. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an arrangement for management of a distributed system (2) a computer program for management of a distributed system (3) a computer readable storage medium comprising a program for management of a distributed system (4) a method for downloading a computer program for management of a distributed system, from an electronic data network to a data processing unit.
