The structure has a profile part (2) that is connected with a foam-like reinforcement element (4) with cavities in a determined interconnection area (3), where the reinforcement element is a reinforcing integral cast part. The profile part is designed as an extrusion profile or rolled profile. The profile part is sectionally formed behind the reinforcement element in a gripped manner. The interconnection area is provided in a region of a highly loaded area during crash. The profile part is manufactured from steel or light alloy such as aluminum.
