The mechanism has a steering housing (1), a steering rod (2) supported in the steering housing in an axial movable manner. A ball threaded nut (10) is swievalbly supported in the steering housing. A flexible sliding bearing (20) e.g. pendulum bearing, is held within an area of a spindle section (11) at the steering housing, and exhibits a sliding surface (21) for supporting of the spindle section. The sliding bearing is configured to carry a certain bending of the steering rod. An elastomer body is vulcanized at a bearing inner part and a bearing outer part.
