The method involves representing a digital model (4a) of an implant in unbent condition together with a digitized X-ray on a screen (7), where the implant serves for fixation of fracture fragments (2, 3) of a bone i.e. femur (1), and the X-ray illustrates the bone with repositioned fracture fragments. The digital model is virtually bent so as to adapt the digital model to an outer contour of the bone, where the adapted digital model is used as a template for bending the implant. A marking is provided at the digital model for controlling the virtual bending.
