The method involves determining light distribution of a light source (15) e.g. LED, by sensing units, where light distribution includes brightness distribution and spectral distribution of luminous surfaces (3-14) of a vehicle (1). A set of parameters of the light distribution between the luminous surfaces are determined for an outlook of an observation position (2) in a surrounding field of the vehicle. The parameters for the outlook of the observation position are controlled depending on preset criteria. An independent claim is also included for a system for controlling visibility of a vehicle.
