The device has an outer countershaft (12) arranged coaxial to an inner countershaft (11) and comprising two bearing surfaces (13, 14) for mounting the outer countershaft with respect to the inner countershaft and a transmission housing (10), respectively. The bearing surfaces have inner and outer bearings (15, 16) radially arranged inside and outside of the outer countershaft, respectively. The bearing surfaces are formed as a movable bearing and a fixed bearing, respectively, and the outer countershaft is partially formed as a hollow shaft.
