The method involves heating a wooden upper surface by a short-term heat supply using a heat source, so that air is passed into wooden pores. The surface is coated with impregnating liquid i.e. high viscosity epoxy resin, which is sucked by a volume contraction process in an upper wooden layer. Excessive impregnating liquid is distributed from an upper surface region subjected to less suction to an upper surface region subjected to high suction, where excessive residues are removed after saturation process. The coating is applied by a roller coating machine.
