The level sensor (1) has a vertical guide (2) arranged on a container (4). A float lever (3) has actuating magnets (10) for actuating a position sensor (9). The float lever has a flow through opening (11), through which the guide and/or the position sensor is guided. Inner cross section of the flow through opening and outer cross section of the guide and/or the position sensor are aligned on each other so that the float lever is arranged on the guide and/or the position sensor in a rotation secure manner. The float lever has a housing (29) filled with foamed material.
