The cooling element has medium-guiding tubes (3) that are connected with a base material (1) along a longitudinal axis of the tubes by looped threads (2) e.g. embroidery and/or sewing threads, where the cooling element is made of textile material. The base material corresponds to a body part e.g. knee joint, wrist joint and ankle joint. The threads and the tubes are made of sterilizable hypoallergenic material. A cooling medium flows through the tubes. Cooling zones (4) are arranged on an elastic textile structure.
