The device (1) has a pressure cuff (2) fixed to a patient wrist, and a hand rear extension (8) for covering a hand rear section. A lower arm cuff (4) is closed by a Velcro(RTM: hook and loop fastener). The lower arm cuff and the hand rear extension are designed as a single-piece. A fixing unit (10) e.g. thumb fixing unit and thumb loop, is arranged at the rear extension. An optical and acoustical signaling unit (15) is provided at the rear extension and switched-off by a textile switch. Electronic and electrical components of the device are arranged in a damp-proof manner.
