The compensator (1) has rolling bellows (18) connected with two axial ends of two pipelines (2, 3) in a fixed manner. The rolling bellows have a wedging and sealing bulge (15) provided at two ends. The wedging and sealing bulge has a flat front side (16) and a ring bar contour (19) that is inserted into an annular groove (20) of a flange ring (6). The wedging and sealing bulge together with the flange ring lies axially at a flat front side (17) of a ring flange (8) of one of the pipelines and is fastened to the flange front side by a fastening unit (10).
