The device displays, calculates and stores an individual value and an average value of a measured positive or negative acceleration characteristic i.e. braking characteristic, of single or multiple trips. The device evaluates the individual value and the average value using value judgment by output signals or switching impulses. The device requests a vehicle driver in a didactic manner, to limit a high deceleration value by brakes during a continuous trip or a subsequent trip. The device produces the value judgment by acoustic signals or mathematical techniques.
