The method involves representing parametrisable objects (3) e.g. pedestrians, in man-made environment (1) by polygons and reference points. Parameters e.g. interfering signal parameter, of the polygons and the reference points of the objects are modified for characteristics e.g. speed, of a man-made sensor (6). Sensor data are generated by the man-made environment including the parameter-modified polygons. Corners (4) of the polygons are connected with each other by edges (5) and are associated to a static parameter e.g. reflectivity and a dynamic parameter e.g. position, of the objects.
