A method for dyeing textile substrates, especially with reactive dyes, by contact with an aqueous liquid containing at least one dyestuff followed by rinsing, involves collecting the liquid containing the dyestuff which has not been fixed by the substrate in a storage tank, destroying the residual dyestuff by chemical and/or physical treatment so that the liquid becomes essentially colorless and then using this liquid for rinsing and/or for further dyeing. An independent claim is included for a facility for performing the above method, comprising at least one storage tank (2) connected to at least one dyeing apparatus (1) via a feeder line (3) for transferring dye liquid containing unfixed dyestuff, at least one reactor (4) for chemical and/or physical treatment of the liquid and at least one collecting tank (5), in which tank (2) is connected to the reactor (4) by a flow pipe (6), (4) is connected to tank (5) by a connecting line (7) and (5) is connected to the dyeing apparatus (1) by a return line (8).
