The lifter has two drives (4, 5) connected with a window pane (1) by respective carriers (2, 3) to lift and lower the window pane, where the drives are synchronized with one another. The drives continuously transfer the window pane from an opened condition into a closed condition, where the window pane is provided at the carriers running along a rail during a movement of the window pane. The rail is attached at a rail support of a single-piece plate i.e. wet and/or dry lock, of a vehicle door, where the rail has a U-shape before being mounted at the rail support. An independent claim is also included for a procedure for producing a wet and/or dry lock of a vehicle door.
