Current collector comprises one or more thin-walled core plates (2) made from a first conductive material. It has a first surface area (3) made from a second material and a second surface area (4) made from a third material. The conductivity of the first area is less than that of the second area and it is limited by it. An independent claim is included for galvanic cells whose electrodes are fitted with current collectors as described and whose casing (14) is bound to the first surface area.
