The device has a helical tension spring (16) i.e. compression spring, held by spring retaining parts (9, 11), and a piston-cylinder assembly (1) arranged within the helical tension spring. The adjusting device is hinged at a support element and a closure element over connection elements. An end of the piston-cylinder assembly is firmly connected with the former spring retaining part (9), and another end of the piston-cylinder assembly comes in contact with the latter spring retaining part (11) in an axial direction before the movement of the closure element is terminated.
