The method involves supporting a steering wheel gripping device (2) at a bracket (5) in a rotatable manner. The gripping device is allowed to follow a steering angle based on a bar-shaped connection between the bracket and another bracket (6), during lateral movement of a vehicle. The gripping device is supported such that the movement of the vehicle follows in longitudinal and vertical directions. A steering wheel (4) is directly or indirectly gripped with the gripping device, and the latter bracket is rotatably supported at a retaining point. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method for track guiding a vehicle at an end of a production line.
