The binding (1) has a connection socket (3) for a network cable, and a connection unit (5) for producing electric connections between components of the network cable and the connection socket. A screening unit (6) screens the connection socket against electric and/or magnetic and/or electromagnetic fields. A fastening unit e.g. screw or clamping pin, is provided in the connection of the screening unit of the connection socket with contact points having defined electrical potential, where the fastening unit enables activation or bypass of an electrical circuit. An independent claim is also included for a method for adaptation of characteristics of electric connections between screening units of a network binding.
