The insulator (1) has a retaining head (2) made of electrically insulating material. The head forms left and right limiting legs (5.1, 5.2). A receiving chamber (6) for receiving an electrically conductive band (3) and a borehole (7) for receiving a rope (4) are arranged between the legs. A receiving slot (10) is formed to enable the supply of the band into the chamber and the supply of the rope into the borehole. Mounting holes (8, 9) are formed above and below the chamber. The mounting holes run perpendicular to the borehole and a plane of the slot. A hole is formed in an area of the slot.
