The device has a U-profile-shaped base rail (2) fastened at an interior or external wall (10), where the base rail is vertically aligned and is provided with a thermally insulating connecting element (5) for adjustment of an intermediate layer (6) and/or an external layer (4) of a building facade. A profiled rail (3) is fastened to the base rail, and holds the external layer in a form-fit manner. The profiled rail is coupled with the base rail by the thermally insulating connecting element, where the connecting element is made of hard foam and wood.
