The carrier (1) has a metal profile including a T-shaped cross-section such that a part of the metal profile is integrated with a bar, where the part is formed as a stair stringer (5). The bar is arranged perpendicular to the part and provided at a stair tread section (2) for fastening a stair tread. A weld seam (19) is formed between two overlapping sections (6) of the bar and another bar of a connecting section (3). The stair tread section passes seamlessly over a side of the metal profile in the connecting section.
